The aim of this article is to deliver methods of reading and interpreting texts
of liberature, which exceed traditional borders of literary arts. As the main
principle of liberature genre is to liberate literature (for instance material form
of the book represents the meaning of the text as well), the proposed teaching
and learning techniques refer to creativity and recreation (creative writing,
arts and crafts). Firstly, the notion of liberature is described and consequently
its trans-genre and transhistorical nature is signalled in the paper. Afterwards,
the selection of texts of foreign (A Hundred Thousand Billion Poems by Raymond Queneau, A Throw of the Dice Will Never Abolish Chance by Stéphane
Mallarmé) and Polish origin (Temple of Stone by Andrzej Bednarczyk, But
Eyeing Like Ozone Whole by Zenon Fajfer) is commented on more thoroughly.
The didactic materials presented in the paper are prepared on the basis of this
selection.
