abstract in English:	The subject of the following essay centers around beauty and its place in both in the sphere of philosophy and art. The main objective of presented article is to present various meanings of "art", the changes that occurred in the field of aesthetics and numerous definitions of "beauty". The authoress describes how did the meaning of "beauty" changed through the history, starting from Plato and Aristotle, and later - through Rousseau, Hegel and Nietzsche - moves to newest conceptions of art. Analyzing numerous examples and mentioning various aesthetic theories the authoress shows the importance of beautyand art in human culture.
