The article The plurality of ethical interpretation of a literary text - postmodern
interpretive categories presents selective range of philosophical approaches
that represent the area of postmodern ethics and ethical attitudes of interpretation.
To each of them have been assigned different ethical categories of interpretation,
such as: responsibility (Immanuel Levinas), dialogicality (Józef
Tischner), uncertainty (Zygmunt Bauman), introspection (Michel Foucault),
countersignature (Jacques Derrida), sensitivity (Richard Rorty), empathy (Hans
Georg Gadamer), experience (Paul Ricoeur) and pluralism (Gianni Vattimo). On
this basis the essay shows the pluralistic nature of the ethics of interpretation,
which is a significant problem of contemporary philosophy and theory of literature.
But it is still unused theme in practice of interpretation in modern methods
of teaching literature. Therefore, the article provides a basis for reflection
in the polish didactic (school and academic) connected with the possibility of
the existence of postmodern interpretive categories. |
