dc.abstract.en Graph structures allow for effective representation of designs in computer-aided design (CAD). They can also support an automation process, which is an important property of CAD systems. This can be achieved by using graph grammars as a tool for representation of the design process. In this paper we present a method for synchronization of design processes carried out by two different and independent transformation systems supporting internal and external design of a building, respectively. Synchronization is required every time when one of the systems acts on an area shared with the other one. The proposed mechanism is illustrated by an example of successful synchronization in conflict areas of the scene being designed, achieved by using its external and internal view. pl
