The article deals with an international and Polish regulations concerning the protection of personal rights of an inventor. In the Author's view it is possible to create only one personal right of an inventor - the right to an authorship of the invention. The Author critically assesses any attempts aiming to create far-reaching inventor's personal rights. In the Author's view the aforesaid rights cannot impede the performance of intellectual property rights. In the Author's point of view a right to an inventor's authorship is non-transferable and expires with the inventor's death. The said righ
