Perception of hiking clothing in the context of security while practicing mountain hiking in Polish Tatra mountains

Celem pracy jest wskazanie zależności pomiędzy odzieżą i obuwiem turystycznym a bezpieczeństwem. Podjęta zostanie próba udowodnienia, że odpowiednio dobrany ubiór turystyczny poprawia bezpieczeństwo podczas uprawiania pieszej turystyki górskiej. Obszarem podań objęto polskie Tatry, gdzie występuje bardzo duży ruch turystyczny i odpowiednie instytucje zajmują się zarządzaniem ryzykiem i uświadamianiem turystów jakie zagrożenia można napotkać w górach.Jednak sama wiedza, że odpowiedni ubiór poprawia bezpieczeństwo to za mało. Odzież i obuwie trzeba zakupić, a kiedy stają przed sobą sprzedawca i kupujący zawiązuje się dwustronna umowa, której przedmiotem jest ludzkie zdrowie i życie. Sprzedawca powinien poznać potrzeby kupującego i zaoferować mu najlepszy produkt, dzięki któremu turysta poczuje się bezpiecznie podążając górskim szlakiem. Ostatecznie potwierdzono, że dobór odpowiedniej odzieży i obuwia górskiego jest ważnym aspektem bezpieczeństwa w górach.

The subject of the Master is to indicate dependence between security and hiking clothes and mountain boots selection. Thesis aims to validate the hypothesis that suitable clothing increases security of mountain hiking. The analysis concerns Tatra mountains which is characterized by highly developed tourist attendance. Thereby, an array of institutions that touch on the aspects of risk management and awareness raising regarding possible threats that one can potentially have to face is in place. However, being aware of the right hiking clothing itself is not sufficient to improve security of an individual. During the purchase between the buyer and the seller a bilateral agreement is made, and this negotiation process has health and life of the buyer at stake. The seller should understand the needs of the buyer and offer a product thanks to which the later will feel secure while exploring the mountains. The study concludes that the selection of the applicable clothing and boots constitutes a very important element in the context of security in mountainous environments.
