Abortion – allowed on request or completely prohibited? Analysis of the political dispute about the admissibility of abortion after 1989.

Praca dyplomowa ma charakter teoretyczno-badawczy i składa się z 3 części. W pierwszym rozdziale przedstawiono charakterystykę zjawiska aborcji, przybliżając definicję, podejście różnych nauk oraz reprezentatywne uregulowania prawne w kwestii aborcji na świecie. Rozdział drugi poświęcono na przedstawienie historii dopuszczalności zjawiska przerywania ciąży za PRL oraz obowiązującą ustawę. Ponadto ukazano dylematy, jakie stoją zarówno przed stronnikami, jak i przeciwnikami omawianej kwestii, a także przyjrzano się bliżej tematyce podziemia aborcyjnego i turystyki aborcyjnej. W ostatnim rozdziale przeanalizowano powrót sporu o dopuszczalność zjawiska aborcji po ostatnich wyborach, przedstawiając dwa odmienne projekty zmiany ustawy, opisując także debatę sejmową i posiadane stanowiska w tej kwestii, na koniec stawiając pytanie o tymczasowość rozwiązanego sporu.

The thesis is of the theoretical and research character and it consists of 3 parts. The first chapter presents the characteristics of the phenomenon of abortion, approximating the definition, the approach of the various sciences and representative legislation on the issue of abortion in the world. The second chapter is devoted to the history of the admissibility of the phenomenon of abortion in the Polish People's Republic and the applicable law. In addition, were presented dilemmas, confronting both supporters and opponents of this issue, and also looked closer at the subject of underground abortion and abortion tourism. The last chapter was analyzed the dispute about the admissibility of the phenomenon of abortion after the last elections, by presenting two different projects to change the Act, describing also the parliamentary debate and the positions held on this issue, and the end asking about of the question of the temporality resolved the dispute.
