Comparison of Bardo Posthumous States from the Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism to States of Clinical Death

Poniższa praca dyplomowa prezentuje porównanie stanów bardo pośmiertnych zaczerpniętych z tradycji buddyzmu tybetańskiego do stanów śmierci klinicznej. Zostają w niej wyjaśnione i opisane pośmiertne stany bardo oraz stany śmierci klinicznej. Następnie zestawione zostają cechy wspólne obydwu tych zjawisk; dalej przedstawione są różnice występujące pomiędzy nimi. Praca oprata jest głównie na opisie stanów bardo dokonanym Dzogczena Ponlopa Rinpocze oraz na badaniach doświadczeń z pogranicza śmierci doktora Raymonda Moody'ego.

The following diploma thesis presents a comparasion of Bardo Posthumous States from the Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism to States of Clinical Death. They explain and describe Bardo Posthumous States and States of Clinical Death. Then the common features of both these phenomena are juxtaposed; there are further differences between them. The work is based mainly on the description of the Bardo States of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and the research on the Near Death Experiences of Dr. Raymond Moody.
