Implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for remote working

Praca zdalna stanowi elastyczną formę świadczenia obowiązków pracowniczych i jest coraz bardziej pożądaną formę zatrudnienia. Pojawienie się na świecie pandemii COVID-19 spowodowało wzrost zainteresowania pracą na odległość, która umożliwiła dalsze prowadzenie działalności przedsiębiorstw oraz świadczenie obowiązków pracowniczych, pomimo szeregu restrykcji i obostrzeń zastosowanych w celu ograniczenia rozprzestrzenienia się wirusa SARS-CoV-2. Celem pracy jest analiza oraz ocena wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na pracę zdalną oraz ustalenie, czy pandemia COVID-19 spowodowała wystąpienie kryzysu covidowego w Polsce. Celem pracy licencjackiej jest uściślenie zmian w pracy zdalnej zachodzących pod wpływem wystąpienia pandemii, która okazała się determinantą do wprowadzenia wielu innowacji w przedsiębiorstwach. W wyniku zgłębienia problematyki przedmiotu uzyskano ogólny obraz realnych zmian, które nastąpiły w postrzeganiu pracy zdalnej przez pracodawców oraz pracowników. W celu weryfikacji hipotezy głównej przeprowadzono analizę literatury przedmiotu oraz wybranych wskaźników. W części teoretycznej opisano różne formy pracy na odległość, dokonano krytycznej oceny pracy zdalnej oraz przeanalizowano pandemię COVID-19 pod kątem wystąpienia kryzysu gospodarczego. W części empirycznej podsumowano wyniki przeprowadzonego badania ilościowego.

Remote work is a flexible form of working and is an increasingly desirable form of employment. The global emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increased interest in remote working, which has made it possible to continue to provide business and employee services despite a number of restrictions and limitations imposed to reduce the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on remote working and to establish whether the COVID-19 pandemic caused a covid crisis in Poland. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to clarify the changes in remote working that are occurring under the influence of the occurrence of the pandemic, which has proved to be a determinant for the introduction of many innovations in companies. As a result of the study of the subject matter, an overall picture of the real changes that occurred in the perception of remote working by employers and employees has been obtained. In order to verify the main hypothesis, an analysis of the literature on the subject and selected indicators was conducted. The theoretical part describes different forms of remote working, critically evaluates remote working and analyses the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of the occurrence of an economic crisis.The empirical part summarises the results of the quantitative study undertaken.
