Głównym celem pracy jest analiza rozwoju turystyki w Japonii od lat 50. XX wieku oraz pokazanie jej wpływu na gospodarkę kraju. Przedstawiono w niej aspekty historyczne, społeczne oraz gospodarcze, które przez dekady rzutowały na sektor podróżniczy. Zbadano także jakie znaczenie dla rozwoju państwa ma turystyka, jak kształtuje ona wizerunek kraju za granicą oraz jakie problemy i wyzwania związane są obecnie z turystyką.
The main purpose of the thesis is to analyze development of tourism and its significance for the economy of Japan since the 1950s. The work presents historical, social and economic aspects that have been affecting the travel sector for decades. It also examines the importance of tourism for the development of the country, how it shapes the nation's image abroad, and what problems and challenges are currently associated with tourism.
