Subjective correlates of senses of a quality of life at parents of children with cerebral palsy.

W niniejszej pracy poruszono problem oceny jakości życia oraz jej korelatów u rodziców dzieci z mózgowym porażeniem dziecięcym. Zmienne, których związek został zweryfikowany w stosunku do jakości życia to: cechy osobowości w ujęciu wielkiej piątki, poczucie alienacji, strategie radzenia sobie, ocena zasobów, zmienne socjodemograficzne, a także informacje o stanie zdrowia dziecka z MPDz. Celem badań było uzyskanie odpowiedzi na pytanie czy występuje istotna korelacja pomiędzy poczuciem jakości życia u rodziców dzieci z MPDz, a poszczególnymi zmiennymi socjodemograficznymi oraz intrapsychicznymi. Analizy statystyczne uzyskanych danych wykazały, że zmienne socjodemograficzne oraz zmienne związane ze stanem zdrowia dziecka nie korelują w sposób istotny z jakością życia. Wyjątek stanowi wiek dziecka z MPDz, który koreluje z zadowoleniem rodzica z dziedziny fizycznej (p<0,01; r=0,523), i z zadowoleniem z dziedziny społecznej (p<0,05; r=0,360). Warto zauważyć, że pozostałe zmienne brane pod uwagę w badaniu wykazały istotne korelacje z poczuciem jakości życia.

The problem tackled in this thesis is the assessment of a quality of life and its correlates at parents of children with cerebral palsy. The variables for which the relationship has been assessed in correlation to the quality of life are following: Big Five personality traits, a sense of alienation, copies strategies, an evaluation of resources, socio-demographic variables, as well as information on assessment of child’s health with CP.The aim of the study was to find an answer whether there is a substantial correlation between a sense of quality of life at parents of children with CP and specific socio-demographic and intrapsychic variables.The statistical analysis of gained data has shown that socio-demographic variables as well as variables correlated with the state of a child’s health do not correlate substantially with the quality of life. The exception is the age of a child with CP, which correlates with a satisfaction from physical sphere of life (p<0.01; r=0.523) and a satisfaction from social sphere of life (p<0.05; r=0.60). It is worth noticing that, other variables that had been taken into consideration showed a substantial correlation with the sense of quality of life.
