Communication strategies and functions of the non-governmental organizations in psycho-oncology service

Praca naukowa dotyczy analizy treści publikowanych na portalach internetowych, należących do sześciu wybranych organizacji pozarządowych, których działalność skupiona jest w obszarze psychoonkologii. W tym celu wyróżniono i nazwano funkcje komunikacyjne, a następnie zestawiono je z samodzielnie opracowaną typologią treści publikowanych na portalach. Analiza ma służyć wykazaniu stopnia pełnienia zaprezentowanych funkcji przez wybrane portale. W pracy opisano także studium przypadku, dotyczące debaty publicznej na temat stanu i kondycji polskiej onkologii oraz wydarzeń z nią związanych, które miały miejsce w lutym 2020 roku po obradach Sejmu RP. Przedstawiono i opisano również aktualną sytuację związaną z pandemią wirusa COVID-19, która wpłynęła na działalność wybranych organizacji.

Thesis concerns the analysis of content published on internet portals belonging to six selected non-governmental organizations, whose activity is focused in the field of psycho-oncology. To this end, communication functions were highlighted and named, and then compared with the self-developed typology of content published on portals. The analysis is to show the degree of fulfillment of the presented functions by selected portals. The work also describes a case study regarding a public debate on the state and condition of polish oncology and related events that took place in February 2020 after the deliberations of the Polish Sejm. The current situation related to the COVID-19 virus pandemic that affected the activities of selected organizations was also presented and described.
