ROLE OF TRADITION IN THE LIFE OF MIGRANT POLES ON THE EXAMPLE OF CHRISTMAS TRADITION (Christmas, Easter) AND FAMILY (Wedding Traditions))

Niniejsza praca poświęcona jest problematyce tradycji i jej kultywowaniu, a dokładniej poznaniu roli jaką odgrywa tradycja w życiu migrujących Polaków, na przykładach tradycji świątecznych (Boże Narodzenie, Wielkanoc) oraz rodzinnych (tradycje weselne).W realizacji wytyczonego celu posłużono się metodą sondażu diagnostycznego. Techniką zastosowaną w niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest ankieta.Praca składa się z pięciu rozdziałów.Pierwszy z nich zatytułowany „Pojecie tradycji” stanowi przegląd teoretycznych rozważań nad definicją tradycji. Zawiera także podrozdziały, opisujące definicje obyczaju, obrzędu, rytuału i zwyczaju, uwzględniając przy tym podobieństwa i różnice występujące między tymi pojęciami. W drugim rozdziale po tytułem „Tradycje świąteczne i rodzinne” opisane zostały tradycje związane ze świętami Bożego Narodzenia, świętami wielkanocnymi oraz tradycje weselne. Zawiera także informacje dotyczące ich historii, sposobów obchodzenia i kultywowania. Trzeci rozdział niosący tytuł „Migracja. Pojęcie teoretyczne i zjawisko empiryczne” przedstawia pojęcie migracji w ujęciu różnych autorów, jej typologię oraz ogólny zarys współczesnego zjawiska. W rozdziale czwartym zatytułowanym „Podstawy metodologiczne badań własnych” sprecyzowano cel i przedmiot badań, problemy i hipotezy badawcze, a także zmienne i ich wskaźniki. Przedstawiono w nim również metody, techniki i narzędzia badawcze, oraz omówiono dobór grupy badawczej, opisano przebieg i organizację badań, dokonano charakterystyki populacji badawczej. Rozdział piąty zatytułowany „Tradycje świąteczne i rodzinne w życiu migrujących Polaków” jest rozdziałem empirycznym, w którym przedstawiona została analiza wyników badań własnych. Całość pracy kończą uogólnienia końcowe wynikające z badań empirycznych oraz bibliografia i aneks. Bibliografia pracy obejmuje publikacje zwarte oraz artykuły naukowe.

This paper is devoted to the issues of tradition and its cultivation , and more understanding of the role played by tradition in the lives of migrant Poles , for example traditional holidays ( Christmas, Easter ) and family ( traditions of the wedding ) .In the realization of the objective pursued method was used diagnostic survey . The technique used in this thesis is a survey .The work consists of five chapters .The first one , entitled " The concept of tradition, " provides an overview of the theoretical debate on the definition of tradition. It also contains sections describing the definitions of custom, rite , ritual and custom, taking into account the similarities and differences between these concepts . In the second chapter the title " Christmas traditions and family " describes the traditions associated with Christmas , Easter holidays and wedding traditions . It also contains information on the history , methods of handling and cultivation .The third chapter bearing the title "Migration . The concept of theoretical and empirical phenomenon "represents the concept of migration in terms of different authors , the typology and an overview of the contemporary phenomenon. The fourth chapter , entitled " Methodological basis of own research" clarifies the purpose and object of study , research problems and hypotheses , and variables and their indicators . It further describes the methods, techniques and research tools , and discusses the selection of the research group , describes the course and the test organization, has been testing the characteristics of the population . The fifth chapter , entitled " Traditions of Christmas and family in the lives of migrant Poles" is the empirical distribution , which presents an analysis of the results of their own .The whole work ends generalization final result of empirical studies, and a bibliography and appendix . Bibliography of work includes Compact publications and scientific articles .
