Solidago graminifolia (L.) Elliott is one of the species of goldenrod that in the nineteenth century were imported from North America to Europe as ornamental plants. In Poland, Solidago graminifolia occurs mainly in Silesia ruderal habitats, mostly barren brownfields. In 2012, new locality of S. graminifolia was found in central part of the Rożnów Foothils in Paleśnica (EF 9632 of ATPOL square system). It probably has been dragged here with imported gravel for forest road. It is necessary to continue the monitoring of this locality to observe dynamics of the new population of S. graminifolia in the Carpathians.
