The temple of Queen Hatshepsut's an example of mortuary temple in the eighteenth dynasty

This paper aims to present the influence of the Queen's Hatshepsut mortuary temple on the development of sacred architecture of the New Kingdom. The first chapter describes the functions and development of the funerary temple and the form they have gained during the 18th and 19th dynasties. Subsequent chapters deal with the political situation in Egypt in the fifteenth century BC, and about the life of the queen Hatshepsut. The last part of the work has been devoted to careful description of the architecture and decoration of the temple of Djeser-djeseru. In this part there is also presented the history of archaeological research conducted in the Deir el-Bahari, and stressed the importance of the work of polish egyptologists and conservators.

Niniejsza praca ma za zadanie przedstawić wpływ świątyni grobowej królowej Hatszepsut na rozwój architektury sakralnej Nowego Państwa. Pierwszy rozdział opisuje funkcje i rozwój świątyń grobowych oraz formę jaką zyskały za panowania 18 i 19 dynastii. Kolejne rozdziały dotyczą sytuacji politycznej panującej w Egipcie w XV w pne oraz opowiadają o życiu królowej Hatszepsut. Ostatnia część pracy poświęcona została dokładnemu opisaniu architektury i dekoracji świątyni Dżeser-dżeseru . Przedstawiono również historię badań archeologicznych prowadzonych na terenie Deir el-Bahari oraz podkreślono duże znaczenie pracy polskich egiptologów i konserwatorów.
