Blonde in the journey. Travel reportages of Beata Pawlikowska (endeavour of monograph)

Beata Pawlikowska, jako jedna z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych polskich podróżniczek, od lat odnosi liczne sukcesy. Poczynając od prestiżowych nagród: Bursztynowego Motyla im. Arkadego Fiedlera za reportaż Blondynka w dżungli oraz nagrody im. Beaty Pawlak za Blondynkę na Kubie, przez publikację pierwszego polskiego reportażu Blondynka śpiewa w Ukajali w wydawnictwie National Geographic aż po ogromną popularność jej książek. Reportaże Beaty Pawlikowskiej cieszą się ogromnym zainteresowaniem i od lat sprzedają się w dużych nakładach. Pawlikowska jest autorką ponad sześćdziesięciu publikacji. Połowa z nich to reportaże podróżnicze, w których tytułowa Blondynka relacjonuje swoje przygody podczas wypraw w niezwykle egzotyczne miejsca na ziemi. Niniejsza praca magisterska jest próbą monografii jej twórczości reportażowej, która ze względu na mnogość tytułów jest ciekawym wyzwaniem. Twórczość reportażowa Beaty Pawlikowskiej stanowi zatem przedmiot badań. Za materiał badawczy posłużył zbiór siedemnastu reportaży podróżniczych, wydanych w latach 2001-2014. Metodą badań w niniejszej pracy jest analiza jakościowa i interpretacja tekstu na tle biografii i dorobku autorki oraz w kontekście ewolucji podgatunku reportażu, jakim jest reportaż podróżniczy. Na podstawie analizy i interpretacji poszczególnych tytułów postaraliśmy się odpowiedzieć na pytania, dotyczące indywidualnych cech pisarstwa Beaty Pawlikowskiej, różnic oraz podobieństw w poszczególnych utworach oraz jej wkładu w rozwój podróżniczego reportażu w Polsce. Przyjrzeliśmy się także pojęciom profesjonalizmu i indywidualizmu w kontekście twórczości tej autorki.

Beata Pawlikowska as one of the most recognizable Polish travellers, for years has been extremely successful. First of all, she got prestigious awards: Arkady Fiedler's Amber Butterfly for reportage Blonde in the jungle and Beata Pawlak’s reward for Blonde in Cuba. Secondly, she was the first Polish writer, who published her reportage Blonde singing in the Ucayali in the National Geographic. Furthermore, her books have the large popularity. Beata Pawlikowska’s reportages sell out for years in large quantities and they are admired by readers.Pawlikowska is the author of more than sixty publications. Half of them are travel reportages, in which the Blonde describes her adventures during expeditions to exotic places on the Earth. This thesis is an endeavour of monograph of Pawlikowska’s reportages, which are an object of study. Collection of seventeen travel reportages published from year 2001 to 2014 is our research material. As an research method we used qualitative analysis and interpretation of the text on the background of the author's biography and literary output, and in the context of the evolution of reportages’ subtype – the travel reportage.Based on the analysis and interpretation of Pawlikowska’s books we made effort to answer questions about individual features of Beata Pawlikowska’s writing, differences and similarities in her works and its contribution to the development of the travel reportage in Poland. We also look at the concepts of professionalism and individualism in the context of the work of this author.
