Artistic sensitivity and affect. Chopin in litterature

Fryderyk Chopin to postać głęboko zakorzeniona w kulturze. Zainteresowanie jego osobą jest ciągle popularne oraz aktualne. Praca powstała w celu zbadania wpływu wybitnego kompozytora na literaturę światową i polską. Cechy osobowości artysty, takie jak: maladyczność, nostalgia i wrażliwość są składowymi wizerunku kompozytora kojarzonego z chorobą, które pozostają niezwykle ważne w rozważaniach na temat jego geniuszu. Unikatowość Chopina wpłynęła na kolejnych artystów, którzy zafascynowani muzykiem kreowali nowe dzieła oraz postawy. Badanie owego wpływu i rezonansu kompozytora na kulturę, literaturę umożliwia metoda, reprezentująca nową humanistykę – teoria afektu, oparta o pracę m. in. R. Nycza, A. Łebkowskiej oraz L. Nader. W pracy opisana została transmisja afektów, czyli wpływ, jaki kompozytor wywarł na przedstawicieli różnorodnych epok literatury światowej: G. Sand, F. Liszta, E. Delacroix, H. Heinego, M. Rollinat, oraz polskiej: monografistów Chopina, C. Norwida, K. Ujejskiego, S. Przybyszewskiego i J. Iwaszkiewicza.

Frederic Chopin is a character deeply ingrown in culture. The interest in him is still common. This BA thesis has been elaborated with the purpose to examine the influence of a distinguished composer on the world litterature as well as the polish. The traits of personnality of the artiste such as focus on malady, nostalgia and sensitivity are the components of the image of the composer associated with illness and they remain extremely important in deliberations about his genius. The uniqueness of Chopin influenced following artists who were fascinated by him and who have created new pieces and attitudes. Examination of the influence and resonance of the artist within the culture, the litterature is possible due to a method which represents The New Humanities – theory of the affects, based on the works of R. Nych, A. Łebkowska and L. Nader. The BA thesis describe the transmission of the affects, which means the influence of the composer on artists of the world litterature of various epochs: G. Sand, F. Liszt, E. Delacroix, H. Heine, M. Rollinat, and the polish one: Chopin’s monographists, C. Norwid, K. Ujejski, S. Przybyszewski and J. Iwaszkiewicz.
