Abstract in English
The article analyses three selected plays of D. Smole, M. Gavran and D. Jovanović – dramatists from former Yugoslavia who tried to actualize Sophocles’ tragedy Antigone. Beginning from opinion H.D.F. Kitto who proposed to treat that drama as the interpersonal tragedy, the most important in the article became problems discussing: Antigone during the war and conflict between Antigone and Creon as the break of the community. All these problems refer to contemporary of each dramatists. The conclusion is confirmation that the figure of Antigone helps autors to talk about the reality of Yugoslavia in the second half of 20th century.
