Rhetoric of the parliamentary left in Poland in 2020-2021

Praca ma na celu opis sposobów komunikacji oraz analizę retoryki politycznej lewicy parlamentarnej w Polsce w latach 2020-2021. Głównymi pytaniami badawczymi są: Jakie tematy pojawiają się w komunikacji polityków i polityczek lewicy parlamentarnej? Jakich zabiegów retorycznych używają politycy i polityczki lewicy parlamentarnej? Czy retoryka polityczna polityków i polityczek lewicy jest wewnętrznie zróżnicowana? Czy retoryka polityczna polityków i polityczek lewicy parlamentarnej jest skuteczna? Materiału badawczego do analizy dostarczą komunikaty czołowych polityków i polityczek Lewicy na Twitterze podczas protestów spowodowanych orzeczeniem Trybunału Konstytucyjnego w sprawie zaostrzenia prawa aborcyjnego oraz podczas dyskusji nad uchwaleniem Krajowego Planu Odbudowy. Retoryka polityczna lewicy parlamentarnej zostanie także zbadana pod kątem koncepcji „rzecznika” oraz „światłego obywatela” przedstawionej przez M. Czyżewskiego, S. Kowalskiego i A. Piotrowskiego.

The paper aims to describe the methods of communication and to analyze the political rhetoric of the parliamentary left in Poland in 2020-2021. The main research questions are: What topics appear in the communication of politicians from the parliamentary left? What rhetorical devices are used by politicians from the parliamentary left? Is the political rhetoric of politicians from the parliamentary left internally diversified? Is the political rhetoric of politicians from the parliamentary left effective? The research material for analysis will be provided by posts from leading politicians of the Left on Twitter during protests caused by the ruling of the Constitutional Tribunal on the tightening of the abortion law and during discussion on the adoption of the National Reconstruction Plan. The political rhetoric of the parliamentary left will also be examined in terms of the concept of "spokesman" and "enlightened citizen" presented by M. Czyżewski, S. Kowalski and A. Piotrowski.
