"Explotition to the Poles": Polar Strategies in the Translation of Children's Speech in Literature, Winnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne in Spanish and Polish

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza książki „Kubuś Puchatek” Alana Alexandra Milnego, w dwóch przekładach polskich i hiszpańskim. Polskie wersje dzieli 48 lat i są one doskonałym przykładem strategii polarnych. Irena Tuwim zdecydowała się na udomowienie, zaś Monika Adamczyk – Garbowska wykorzystała nowe trendy w tłumaczeniu – egzotyzację. Głównym celem pracy jest znalezienie odpowiedzi na pytanie, do którego z polskich tłumaczeń, tłumaczenie hiszpańskie jest zbliżone.

This work aims at analysing the book "Winnie the Pooh" by Alan Alexander Milne in two Polish translations and one Spanish translation. The Polish versions, with 48 years of difference between them, are an excellent example of polar translation strategies. Irena Tuwim opted for the domestication, while Monika Adamczyk-Garbowska used a new translation tendency: the foreignization. El objetivo del presente trabajo es un análisis del libro “Winnie thePooh” de Alan Alexander Milne en dos traducciones polacas y una española. Las versiones polacas, con 48 años de diferencia, son un excelente ejemplo de las estrategias traductológicas polares. IrenaTuwim optó por la domesticación, mientras que Monika Adamczyk-Garbowska utilizó una tendencia nueva en la traducción: la exotización. El objetivo principal del trabajo es encontrar respuesta a la pregunta de a cuál de las traducciones polacas se parece la española.
