Mays and Novembers. A Lover's Discourse in Janina and Władysław Broniewski's Correspondence.

Praca jest studium miłosnego dyskursu w korespondencji Janiny i Władysława Broniewskich w latach 1925–1939. Przeprowadzona analiza prezentuje charakterystyczne figury listowe, obrazujące zmiany zachodzące w relacji pary. W części dotyczącej krytyki somatycznej opisano sposoby sensualnego pisania oraz zanalizowano elementy Somatekstu. Praca dyplomowa przywołuje koncepcję „autobiograficznego trójkąta”, autorstwa Małgorzaty Czermińskiej, a także porównuje dwie kategorie gatunkowe – autobiografię i list. Przedstawia również kluczowe teorie listu i trudności związane z zaklasyfikowaniem korespondencji do literatury pięknej czy też literatury użytkowej.

The paper focused on a lover’s discourse in Janina and Władysław Broniewski’s correspondence from 1925 to 1939. The research showed the most characteristic epistolary figures, which pointed changes in the relation of couple. The part focused on the somatic critic is describing ways of sensual writing and analyzing elements of Somatext. The thesis referred Małgorzata Czermińska’s conception called ”autobiographical triangle” and compared two categories – an autobiography and a letter. There are also presented essentials theories of letter and difficulties in classyfying correspondence into the belles-lettres or the so called applied literature.
