Study of correlations in two-dimensional lattice systems using tensor network methods

dc.abstract.enIn this paper I use projected entangled-pair states (PEPS) to study correlations in infinite two-dimensional classic Ising model. I compare two tensor network methods of finding two-point correlation functions and order parameter. First one is corner transfer matrix (CTM) renormalization in which we improve environment tensors by absorbing many times PEPS tensor which describes a spin in our system. The second is transfer matrix approach in which we find eigenvector to the largest eigenvalue of infinite transfer matrix in matrix product states (MPS) form, by maximizing the partition function of the systempl
