Women’s knowledge about prenatal examinations in reproductive age.

Wiedza kobiet na temat badań prenatalnych jest istotnym czynnikiem pozwalającym bardziej świadomie przeżywać czas trwania ciąży.Celem pracy była ocena stanu wiedzy kobiet w wieku rozrodczym na temat badań prenatalnych wykonywanych w czasie ciąży.Praca składa się z części teoretycznej i praktycznej. W pierwszej części pracy przedstawiono pozytywne oraz negatywne skutki podjęcia decyzji o późnym macierzyństwie. Wspomniane jest również jakie powikłania niesie ze sobą decyzja o późnej ciąży. Dalej można znaleźć informacje na temat badań prenatalnych, najpierw nieinwazyjnych a później inwazyjnych. Wymienione i opisane są najczęściej wykonywane badania prenatalne, na czym one polegają i czego z nich możemy się dowiedzieć. Wspomniane jest również o ryzyku powikłań jakie niosą ze sobą badania prenatalne. W drugiej części umieszczono wyniki badań ankietowanych przeprowadzonych w marcu i kwietniu 2015 roku wśród 108 kobiet w wieku rozrodczym, a w szczególności kobiet po 30 roku życia.Analiza wyników badań dowiodła, że kobiety po 30 roku życia są bardziej świadome zagrożeń wynikających z późnej ciąży. Posiadają one również większą wiedzę na temat badań prenatalnych niż kobiety poniżej 30 roku życia.

Women’s knowledge about prenatal examinations is an important factor to more conscious life during the pregnancy period.The aim of this study is assessment of knowledge of women in reproductive age about prenatal examinations which are performed during the time of pregnancy.The work consists of theoretical and practical sections. The first part presents the positive and negative consequences of late motherhood decision. It also mentions the complications of late pregnancy decision. In the following part one can find information about prenatal examinations, firstly the non – invasive ones then the invasive. There are named and described the most common prenatal examinations, the way they look and what one can learn from them. It also depicts the risk related with prenatal examinations. The second section of the study presents responses to a poll conducted in March and April of 2015 among one hundred and eight women in reproductive age especially ones after thirtieth year of age.Analysis of the study’s results proves that women after thirty are more aware of the consequences related with late pregnancy decision. They also have more knowledge about prenatal examinations than women before thirty.
