Quality of hotel services in selected SPA&Wellness hotels in Cracow and Miedzyzdroje

Celem pracy była analiza porównawcza czynników decydujących o jakości usług hotelarskich w trzygwiazdkowych hotelach SPA&Wellness w Krakowie i Międzyzdrojach. Badaniem objęto Hotel Europejski Hotel City SM Business & Spa w Krakowie, oraz Hotel Trofana Wellness&SPA i Hotel Wolin w Międzyzdrojach. Są to obiekty o podobnej wielkości, a oprócz oferty odnowy biologicznej – wszystkie charakteryzują się bezpłatnymi śniadaniami wliczonymi w cenę oraz obecnością pokoi o podwyższonym standardzie Superior.W analizie porównawczej wykorzystano metodę inwentaryzacji. Wyniki analizy wykazały, że czynnik stanowiący o jakości oferowanych usług, stanowi w przeważającej formie wachlarz i możliwość wyboru pozostawiona klientowi. Oczywistym jest przecież, że nie wszyscy goście będą chętnie korzystać z sauny, lub będą spożywać tylko regionalne specjały. Należy więc zauważyć, że możliwość wyboru, poczynając od rodzaju pokoju, rodzaju kuchni i na infrastrukturze rekreacyjnej kończąc, różnorodność stanowi bardzo ważny element w ocenie jakości oferty obiektu.

The objective of the study is a comparative analysis of factors determining the quality of hotel services in three-star SPA & Wellness hotels in Krakow and Międzyzdroje. For this purpose, the following hotels were selected in Krakow: Hotel Europejski, Hotel City SM Business & Spa, and in Międzyzdroje: Hotel Trofana Wellness & SPA and Hotel Wolin. These are facilities of similar size, and in addition to the wellness offer - all of them are characterized by free breakfast included in the price and the presence of rooms with a higher Superior standard. The inventory method was used in the comparative analysis.The results showed that the most important factor determining the quality of the services offered is the range and choice left to the customer. It is obvious that not all guests will be eager to use the sauna or will eat only regional specialties. It should be noted, therefore, that the possibility of choice, starting from the type of accommodation, the type of kitchen and the diversity of recreational infrastructure, is a very important element in assessing the quality of the facility's offer.
