Ethical limits of transplantology.

Celem pracy było przedstawienie etycznych aspektów przeprowadzania transplantacji: serca, twarzy, mózgu/głowy, gonad i tkanek pobranych od dawców embrionalnych/płodowych oraz próba sprawdzenia akceptacji wymienionych form transplantacji przez uczestników badania ankietowego.Badanie przeprowadzono w 2016 roku. Zastosowaną w pracy metodą był sondaż diagnostyczny, a narzędziem badawczym kwestionariusz ankiety. Przeanalizowano wpływ zmiennych: wieku, poziomu i rodzaju wykształcenia na akceptację poszczególnych form transplantacji wśród respondentów.Prawie 98% respondentów wyraziło swoją akceptację dla transplantacji ex mortuo, podobnie dla transplantacji serca, 71% dla transplantacji twarzy, 70% dla transplantacji gonad, 44% dla transplantacji mózgu/głowy, prawie 48% dla transplantacji komórek lub tkanek od dawców embrionalnych. Dostrzeżono wpływ wieku badanych na ich akceptację transplantacji ex mortuo i transplantacji serca.Wysoki poziom akceptacji transplantacji od zmarłych dawców w badanej grupie respondentów przy jednoczesnym braku akceptacji niektórych form transplantacji, pokazuje potrzebę prowadzenia pogłębionych badań na ten temat. Edukacja z zakresu transplantologii powinna być adresowana do osób z różnych grup wiekowych. Współpraca specjalistów różnych dziedzin może pomóc w odnajdywaniu etycznych granic transplantologii oraz w zapobieganiu przekraczania tych granic.

The aim of the study was to present the ethical aspects of transplantation: heart, face, brain/head, gonads and embryonic/fetal tissue and attempt to understand the level of acceptance of these forms of transplantation by respondents.The study was conducted in 2016. The method used in the study was a survey study, and the research tool was a questionnaire survey. The effect of variables: age, level and type of education, on acceptance of particular forms of transplantation among respondents was analyzed.Nearly 98% of respondents have expressed their acceptance of ex mortuo transplantation, similar to a heart transplantation, 71% for faces transplantation, 70% for gonads transplantation, 44% for brain/head transplantation, nearly 48% for the transplantation of cells or tissues from a embryo donor. The effect of respondents age on the acceptability of ex mortuo transplantation and cardiac transplantation has been observed.The high level of acceptance of the transplantation from deceased donors in the group of respondents with the absence of acceptance of certain forms of transplantation, shows the need for in-depth research on the subject. Education in transplantology should be addressed to people of different age groups. The cooperation of specialists in various fields could help with finding ethical limits in transplantology and could help to prevent of crossing these borders.
