Information activities of the Municipal The Public Library in Skawina in years 2015- 2019.

Praca podejmuje problematykę dotyczącą działalności Miejskiej Biblioteki Publicznej w Skawinie. Głównym celem pracy była charakterystyka i analiza funkcjonowania instytucji w latach 2015-2019, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem działalności informacyjnej. W opisie uwzględniono następujące wymiary tej działalności: informowanie o bibliotece i jej zbiorach, ich udostępnianie, działalność wystawienniczą instytucji. Opisano również historię biblioteki, jej podstawy materialne, formy działalności i rolę jaką odgrywa w społeczności lokalnej. Analiza wykazała, że biblioteka dobrze wykorzystuje swój potencjał w realizacji przypisanych jej zadań i funkcji społecznych, a działalność informacyjną organizuje efektywnie, przy wykorzystaniu zarówno tradycyjnych, jak i nowoczesnych form i środków.

The work deals with issues related to the Muncipal Public Library in Skawina. The main purpose of the work was to characterize and analyze the functioning of the institution in 2015-2019, with particular emphasis on information activities. The description includes the following dimensions of this activity: information on the library and its collections, their sharing, and exhibition activities of the institution. The history of the library, its material foundations, forms of activity and the role it plays in the local community were also described. The analysis showed that the library makes good use of its potential in the implementation of its tasks and social functions, and organizes information activities efficiently, using both traditional and modern forms and means.
