Properties of the tetrahedron in olympiad problems

Praca stanowi przegląd własności czworościanu, jak i zestawienie zadań Olimpiady Matematycznej dotyczących tej bryły. Na początku przedstawione są podstawowe własności czworościanu, takie jak twierdzenie o środkowych czy półpłaszczyźnie dwusiecznej. Następnie zebrane są twierdzenia dotyczące kątów płaskich i kątów dwuściennych w czworościanie, własności czworościanów równościennych oraz twierdzenia wykorzystujące długości krawędzi przeciwległych. W dalszej części pracy znajdują się twierdzenia dotyczące objętości czworościanu, niektóre analogie między czworościanem a trójkątem oraz twierdzenia dotyczące sfery wpisanej lub sfery opisanej na czworościanie.

The thesis is a review of the tetrahedron properties, as well as a summary of the Mathematical Olympiads problems related to this polyhedron. At the beginning, the basic properties of the tetrahedron are presented such as the median theorem or dihedral angle bisector theorem. Next, theorems regarding plane angles and dihedral angles in the tetrahedron, properties of isosceles tetrahedra and theorems using the lengths of opposite edges are collected. In the further part of the thesis, one can find theorems regarding the tetrahedron volume, some analogies between the tetrahedron and the triangle and theorems regarding the inscribed sphere or the sphere described on the tetrahedron.
