Books for blind and dim-sighted children and showing the world from the perspective of a blind child on the contemporary Polish publishing market.

Dziecko z dysfunkcją wzroku jest wyjątkowym typem czytelnika i wymaga specjalnie przygotowanych książek, uwzględniających jego potrzeby oraz możliwości. Niestety odpowiednich materiałów jest na polskim rynku wydawniczym niewiele, a ich tworzeniem zajmują się głównie specjalistyczne instytucje i firmy oraz prywatne osoby w ramach np. działalności charytatywnej. Ogólnodostępne są za to książki, których głównym bohaterem uczyniono dziecko niewidome. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie dostępnych obecnie na polskim rynku form książek i materiałów tyflograficznych odpowiednich dla dzieci niewidomych i słabowidzących oraz przedstawienie zasad tworzenia i adaptacji rysunków dla tej grupy odbiorców, a także analiza wybranych książek, w których pojawia się motyw niewidzącego dziecka.Pierwszy rozdział poświęcono publikacjom wypukłym, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem tyflografik i obrazkowych książek dotykowych, a także zasadom ich tworzenia. Następnie omówiono książki skierowane konkretnie do dzieci słabowidzących. Ostatnia część pracy zawiera opis pozycji, które przedstawiają świat z perspektywy niewidomego dziecka.

A visually impaired child is a unique type of reader and requires specially prepared books that take his needs and abilities into account. Unfortunately, there are not many relevant materials on the Polish publishing market, and their creation mainly involves specialised institutions and companies as well as private individuals within the framework of, for example, a charitable activity. Generally available are books with the blind child as the protagonist.The main objective of the work is to present forms of books and typhlographic materials suitable for blind and visually impaired children currently available on the Polish market and also the principles of establishing and adapting drawings for this group of recipients, as well as analysis of selected books in which the blind child's theme appears.The first chapter is focused on convex publications, with specific emphasis on typhlographics and tactile picture books, moreover the principles of their creation. Then books addressed specifically to dim-sighted children were discussed. The last part of the work contains a description of books showing the world from the perspective of a blind child.
