The locus of control, self-esteem and the anorexia readiness syndrome in young women

Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie, czy istnieje związki pomiędzy poczuciem umiejscowienia kontroli, samooceną a występowaniem Syndromu Gotowości Anorektycznej (SGA) u młodych kobiet. Grupę badanych stanowiły 93 kobiety w wieku od 20 do 25 lat, które wypełniały ankietę online składającą się z trzech kwestionariuszy. W badaniu wykorzystano Kwestionariusz do Badania Indywidualnego Stosunku do Jedzenia (KSJ), Kwestionariusz do Pomiaru Poczucia Kontroli "Delta" Drwala oraz Skale Samooceny SES Morrisa Rosenberga - polska adaptacja. Przeprowadzono analizę regresji liniowej metodą wprowadzania. Wykazano istnienie związku między samooceną, a występowaniem syndromu gotowości anorektycznej. Natomiast nie udało się wykazać, że poczucie umiejscowienia kontroli jest istotnym predyktorem syndromu gotowości anorektycznej.

The aim of this study is to measure whether there are a related between locus of control, self-esteem and the occurrence of Anorexia Readiness Syndrome (ARS) in young women. The group of respondents consisted of 93 womem aged 20 to 25 who completed an online survey consisting of three questionnaires. The study used the Eating Attiude Questionnaire (EQA), the Questionnaire for Measuring the Locus of Control "Delta" by Drwal and Morris Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale- Polish adaptation. Linear regression analysis was performed using the input method. A relation has been demonstrated between self-esteem and the occurrence of the anorexis readiness syndrome. However, it has not been possible to demonstrate that the sens of locus of control is a significant predictor of the anorexis readiness syndrome.
