Legal Position of the Muslim Religious Union in Poland

Celem pracy magisterskiej zatytułowanej "Pozycja Prawna Muzułmańskich Związków Wyznaniowych w Polsce" jest przedstawienie sytuacji prawnej Muzułmańskich Związków Religijnych na terytorium Polski. Pierwsi wyznawcy islamu pojawili się na ziemiach polskich w XIV wieku, w miarę upływu lat ich liczba stale się powiększa. Muzułmanie są jedną z mniejszości religijnych żyjących w Polsce. W pracy zostały przedstawione i omówione muzułmańskie związki religijne, a także organizacje społeczno-kulturalne utożsamiające się z islamem. Wstępem do charakterystyki związków muzułmańskich jest historia islamu na świecie,w Polsce, a także charakterystyka tej religii.Przedstawione zostały akty prawne dotyczące wolności i praw człowieka zarówno te o zasięgu globalnym, europejskim jak i obowiązujące na terenie Polski. To pozwoliło na omówienie i szerszą charakterystykę gwarancji prawnych dla wyznawców islamu na terenie naszego kraju.Podsumowanie zawiera krótkie przedstawienie aktualnego stanu prawnego oraz wniosek dotyczący konieczności aktualizacji jednego z przepisów.

The aim of the thesis titled "Legal Position of the Muslim Religious Union in Poland" is to present the legal situation of the Muslim Religious Union on the Polish territory. The first Muslims arrived in the Polish lands in the fourteenth century, and as the years went by, their number was constantly growing. Muslims are one of the religious minorities living in Poland. In this thesis, Muslim religious associations, as well as social and cultural organizations identifying with Islam are presented and discussed . The introduction to the characteristics of the compounds is the story of Islam, the Muslim world, in Poland, as well as the characteristics of the religion. The thesis presents legislation on freedom and human rights - both in the global and European aspect, as well as binding on Polish territory. This allowed for a broader discussion of the characteristics and legal guarantees for the followers of Islam in our country. The summary shall contain a brief statement of the current legal status and a proposal for the need to update one of the legal acts.
