Critical analysis of the strategy of Michałowice Commune

The subject of this paper is the evaluation of the strategy of Michałowice Commune. Nowadays, it’s very important to plan your activities and be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. You also have to bear in mind the results of performed activities, which are essential in management of a commune. In the time of big competition and limited financial resources, a community as a local government unit, may develop vigorously thanks to appropriate strategy and management of the authority. One of the aims of this thesis is the description of the strategy of the development and determination of the factors which affect its creating, on an example of Michałowice Commune. Other aim is to present vast influence of the strategy on the development of a commune and the significance of the proper way of formulating of its strategy.The thesis consists of four chapters and covers information among the others about the institution of the Commune Office, theory of the strategy, Michałowice Commune, its strategy, tasks and aims, and conclusions of the author regarding conducted analyses.Michałowice Commune was presented as developing dynamically local government unit, which despite limitations connected with lack of financial resources, creatively takes advantages of its strengths in order to increase the life standard of its citizens.

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy jest ocena strategia gminy Michałowice. W obecnych czasach bardzo istotne jest planowanie działań oraz świadomość swoich mocnych i słabych stron. Należy ponadto mieć na uwadze skutki wykonywanych działań, co jest szczególnie ważne w zarządzaniu gminą. W dobie ogromnej konkurencji i ograniczonych środkach finansowych jednostka samorządu terytorialnego jaką jest gmina, może się prężnie rozwijać, dzięki odpowiedniej strategi i zarządzaniu władz.Jednym z głównych celów tej pracy magisterskiej jest opis strategi rozwoju oraz określenie czynników wpływających na jej tworzenie, biorąc za przykład gminę Michałowice. Kolejnym celem jest pokazanie ogromnego wpływu strategi na rozwój gminy oraz tego jak ważne jest sformułowanie jej w odpowiedni sposób.Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów i zawiera informacje na temat między innymi instytucji Urzędu Gminy, teoretycznego ujęcia strategi, Gminy Michałowice, jej strategi, zadań i celów oraz wnioski autora dotyczące przeprowadzonych analiz.Gmina Michałowice została przedstawiona jako prężnie rozwijająca się jednostka samorządu terytorialnego, która mimo ograniczeń związanych na przykład z brakiem środków finansowych, w sposób kreatywny wykorzystuje swoje silne strony do poprawy jakości życia mieszkańców.
