The activity and trial of the members of the Second Zamoyski Inspectorate of The Home Army (1947-1951)

Niniejsza praca skupia się na działalności II Inspektoratu Zamojskiego AK oraz opisaniu procesu sądowego jego członków po zlikwidowaniu organizacji przez komunistyczne władze. Inicjatorem powstania w 1947 r. II Inspektoratu Zamojskiego AK był pułkownik Marian Pilarski ps. „Jar”. Struktura stworzonej przez niego organizacji nawiązywała do wcześniejszego schematu funkcjonowania Armii Krajowej. Inspektorat dzielił się na 6 obwodów, posiadał własny wywiad, służbę zdrowia, Wojskową Służbę Kobiet oraz żandarmerię wojskową. W kwietniu 1950 r. władze bezpieczeństwa aresztowały wielu członków organizacji. W wyniku pokazowego procesu skazano wielu członków organizacji na długoletnie kary więzienia a dowódcę Mariana Pilarskiego na karę śmierci.

This study focuses on the activity of the Second Zamoyski Inspectorate of AK (The Home Army) and the description of the trial of its members after the liquidation of it by the communist authorities. Marian Pilarski ps. “Jar” was the founder of this organization in 1947. Its structure reffered to previous scheme of functioning of the Home Army. The Inspectorate was divided into 6 circuits, had its own intelligence, health service, Women Military Staff, and the military police. In April 1950 the security authorities arrested most of the members of this organization. As a result of a show trial, several members were condemn to a long-term prison sentence and the commander Mariana Pilarski on a death penalty.
