Celem pracy jest przybliżenie postaci księżnej Marceliny Czartoryskiej na podstawie wspomnień pośmiertnych. Księżna była znaną w kraju i na emigracji działaczką społeczną i pianistką, uczennicą Chopina.Edycja zawiera teksty prasowe z lat 1894-1895, których autorami są Stanisław Tarnowski, Konstanty Maria Górski oraz Jan Kleczyński, oraz obrazy i fotografie związane z księżną Czartoryską.We wstępie analizie poddano charakterystyczne cechy tekstów wspomnieniowych oraz motywacje ich autorów. Poruszone zostają takie kwestie jak czynnik emocjonalny oraz wymiar społeczno-historyczny tekstów. Pod rozwagę zostaje wzięty również dysonans między intencjami autorów i bohaterki ich wspomnień.

The purpose of the work is to present the figure of duchess Marcelina Czartoryska based on posthumous memories. The duchess was a social activist and pianist, a student of Chopin, known in Poland and abroad.The edition contains press texts from 1894-1895, authored by Stanisław Tarnowski, Konstanty Maria Górski and Jan Kleczyński, as well as paintings and photographs related to Princess Czartoryska.In the introduction, the characteristic features of memories and motivations of their authors were analyzed. Issues such as the emotional factor and the socio-historical dimension of the texts are raised. The dissonance between the intentions of the authors and the heroine of their memories is also considered.
