Magnetic, electrical and thermal properties of Tm_{3}Cu_{4}Si_{4}

dc.abstract.enThe compound Tm_{3}Cu_{4}Si_{4} was studied by means of X-ray diffraction, magnetic, specific heat and electrical resistivity measurements. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic structure of the Gd_{3}Cu_{4}Ge_{4} type. It orders antiferromagnetically at the Néel temperature of 3.4 K, and undergoes in the ordered region a cascade of other phase transitions, probably of antiferromagnetic character. The compound shows metallic type of the electrical conductivity.pl
