Bioethical education of hospital personnel in Poland and in Germany

Badanie form edukacji bioetycznej personelu szptalnego w Polsce i w Niemczech przeprowadzono jako część szerszego projektu (European Hospital-based Bioethics Program).Porównanie uzyskanych rezultatów może rzucić światło na podobieństwa i różnice pomiędzy obydwoma krajami. W celu uzyskania porównywalnych rezultatów, wspólnie opracowany jednolity kwestionariusz został rozesłany do reprezentatywnej próby szpitali w obu krajach. Rezultaty analizowano w odniesieniu do formy, struktury, treści oraz stosowanej metodologii istniejących form edukacji bioetycznej w szpitalach. Podobieństwa i różnice analizowano na tle instytucjonalnej i prawnej sytuacji obu krajów. W oparciu o tę analizę wypracowano rekomendacje dotyczące dalszego rozwoju edukacji bioetycznej w warunkach szpitalnych.

Study of the existing forms of bioethical education for hospital personnel was carried out in Germany and in Poland as a part of a larger project (European Hospital-based Bioethics Education). Comparison of acquired results may shed a light on similarities and differences between both countries. For acquire the results, commonly designed questionnaire was distributed among the representative sample of hospitals in both countries. Results were analysed with regard to forms, structure, content and methodology of existing bioethical education in hospitals. Similarities and differences were later analysed against the institutional and legal background of both countries. Finally, recommendations for further development of bioethical education in hospital settings were derived from the study.
