"Celtycka duchowość" a panenteistyczna koncepcja Jana Szkota Eriugeny
"Celtic spirituality" and the pantheistic conception of Johannes Scotus Eriugena
Streszcz. ang. Bibliogr
In this article the author presents certain characteristics that "Celtic spirituality" and Eriugena’s conception have in common. First, the idea of "Celtic spirituality" is defined and its characteristic features are described. Then the author proceeds to ennumerate the ways in which "Celtic spirituality" manifests itself in the first centuries of Irish Christianity. Next, the figure of Eriugena is presented, as well as the opinions of researchers concerning the accusations of pantheism leveled at the philosopher. Later, Eriugena himself is given voice on this matter. To render his conception most faithfully, the author of the article chose from his works those excerpts which best reflect the philosopher’s idea, and then she combined them into a logical whole, at the same time limiting her own commentary. In the conclusion, she comes back to the accusations of "heresy" and ponders on their sources. The article ends with comments on the place of Eriugena and his pantheistic conception within the contemporary "Celtic spirituality".
