During the excavations conducted at site 1 in Michałowice, Kazimierza Wielka district, a small Early Medieval cross made of bronze was discovered. It was a stray find, and no other objects linked with this period were found on the site. Beyond any doubt, the cross originates from Rus’ and dates to the 12th-13th century. It should probably be connected with a period of the Tatars’ invasions during the 13th century.
