The analysis of Leslie Marmon Silko’s novel Gardens in the Dunes. The novel illustrates the phenomenon of transculturation in contemporary Native American literature. Silko uses a double cultural code in her work on the basis of which she constructs the Mestizo identity of her characters in transatlantic perspective.
