Tematem mojej rozprawy są retoryczne tradycje polskiej wsi wybranych oracji weselnych. Ważnym zagadnieniem tej monografii jest analiza językowa tekstów tradycyjnych przemów weselnych i ukazanie ich współczesnych kontynuacji. Celem analizy jest rekonstrukcja wzorca tekstowego oracji przy błogosławieństwie. Jest to analiza językowa, ale w kontekście kulturowym, ponieważ istnieje silna więź między słowem retorycznym a obrzędowością weselną. Bazą materiałową pracy są tradycyjne oracje głównie z monografii Oskara Kolberga. Współczesny materiał jest bardzo różnorodny, ponieważ teksty pochodzą z opublikowanych materiałów oraz z Muzeum Kultury Ludowej w Kolbuszowej, Muzeum Etnograficznego w Rzeszowie, a także bezpośrednio od informatorów. Na potrzeby badań źródłowych wykorzystano kwerendę archiwalną i wywiad z informatorami. Pierwszy rozdział poświęcony jest zagadnieniom teoretycznym: mowa w kontekście oralności i piśmienności, wzorzec gatunkowy tekstu, wzorzec tekstu, a także retoryczne i tekstologiczne narzędzia badawcze. Drugi rozdział dotyczy tradycji przemawiania na wsi i ewentualnych wpływów na oratorstwo ludowe. Przedstawiam w nim też cechy ludowego stylu artystycznego, ponieważ cechy te można znaleźć w ludowych tekstach oracyjnych. Analizuję również różne definicje oracji. W trzecim rozdziale opisuję kontekst rytualny mowy ślubnej. Piąty rozdział jest analityczny i dotyczy badania tekstu na różnych poziomach: strukturalno-semantycznym, pragmatycznym, stylistycznym i poznawczym. Analiza stała się podstawą do określenia wzorca tekstu oracji przy błogosławieństwie. Wzorzec tekstu zawiera ustalony przez tradycję schemat kompozycji. Składnikami wzorca tekstu są na przykład: słowa klucze, gotowe formuły, toposy, ukryte symbole, stereotypy i wartości. Ze względu na silną kontekstualizację oracji w obrzędzie weselnym można mówić nie tylko o wzorcu tekstowym oracji, ale o steatralizowanym wzorcu oracji ślubnej. W rozdziale piątym znajduje się analiza współczesnych kontynuacji oracji przy błogosławieństwie, która służy odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy zachował się stary wzorzec oracji i jak go zrealizowano. Rozprawa kończy się podsumowaniem zmian, które można zaobserwować w kontynuacji wiejskich oracji weselnych przy błogosławieństwie z uchwyceniem czynników, które wpłynęły na zmiany.

The subject of my dissertation is the rhetorical traditions of the Polish countryside of selected wedding orations. An important issue of this monograph is linguistic analysis of tradition texts wedding speeches and to show their contemporary continuations. The purpose of analysis is reconstruction of the text pattern of the oration at the blessing. It is the linguistic analysis but in a cultural context because is strong connection between the rhetorical word and wedding rituals. The material base of the work is the traditional orations mainly from Oskar Kolberg's monograph. Contemporary material is very diverse, because the texts come from published materials and from the Museum of Folk Culture in Kolbuszowa, the Ethnographic Museum in Rzeszow and also directly from informants. For the needs of source research were used archival query and interview with informants. In the first chapter is devoted to theoretical issues: the speech in the context of orality and literacy, genre pattern of text, pattern text, as well as rhetorical and textological research tools. The second chapter concerns the tradition of speaking in the countryside and possible influences on folk oratory. I also present the features of folk artistic style, because these features can be found in folk oratorical texts. I present different definitions of orations. In the third chapter I describe the ritual context of the wedding speech. The fifth chapter is analytical and concerns the study of the text at various levels: structural-semantic, pragmatic, stylistic and cognitive. The analysis became the basis for determining the text pattern of the oration at the blessing. The pattern of the text containes the fixed by tradition compositional scheme oration. The text pattern components are for example: keywords, ready-made formulas, toposes, hidden symbols, stereotypes and values. Due to the strong contextualisation of the oration in the wedding rite, one can speak not only of the text pattern of the oration but the theatralized pattern of the wedding oration. In chapter five contains an analysis of contemporary continuation of the orations with a blessing, which serves to answer the question whether the old pattern of the orations has survived and how it is realized. The dissertation ends with a summation about the changes that can be observed in the continuation of rural wedding orations with the blessing and capturing the factors that influenced the changes.
