The new national educational policy towards the Polish community abroad

Artykuł porusza kwestie związane z nową polityką edukacyjną wobec Polonii po wejściu Polski do Unii Europejskiej w 2004 r. i nowa falą emigracji. Przedmiotem analizy są zasoby edukacyjne, będące ofertą Ministerstwa Edukacji Narodowej dla uczniów polskich uczących się za granicą. Większość z tych materiałów ma formę elektroniczną, dlatego analizę oparto na kryteriach przyjętych do oceny tego typu pomocy dydaktycznych. Ewaluacja została przeprowadzona w oparciu o następujące kryteria: merytoryczne, metodyczne, użyteczności i dostępności. Artykuł kończy refleksja nad znaczeniem mediów elektronicznych dla transmisji języków mniejszościowych oraz postulat badań szczegółowych nad efektywnością materiałów elektronicznych, które współtworzą przestrzeń cyfrową.

The paper touches upon the issues of the impact of migration processes on a change in perceiving the educational mission as regards the Polish community abroad and, what follows this phenomenon, the new national educational policy towards the Polish community abroad. The object of the analysis is the projects introduced by the Ministry of National Education after the new wave of migration which took place in 2004 and was connected with Poland’s accession to the European Union. The educational resources discussed in the paper were evaluated in terms of substance, methodology, as well as usefulness and availability. The conclusion part emphasises adventages of electronic communication in the transmission proces of minority languages and formulates a postulate for in-depth research on the efectiveness of e-materials in teaching children and youth abroad
