The President of the Republic of Poland as the supreme commander of the Armed Forces in the Constitutions of the Republic of Poland

Praca ma na celu przedstawienie funkcji Prezydenta RP jako najwyższego zwierzchnika sił zbrojnych w oparciu o Konstytucje RP. Ponadto w pracy opisane zostały zagadnienia związane z pełnieniem tejże funkcji, takie jak: organy pomocnicze działające przy Prezydencie RP podczas sprawowania najwyższego zwierzchnictwa nad Siłami Zbrojnymi RP, zwierzchnictwo głowy państwa nad wojskiem na tle organizacji międzynarodowych oraz uprawnienia prezydenta do nadawania stopni wojskowych, a także przyznawania orderów i odznaczeń. Pierwszy rozdział dotyczy wyjaśnienia głównych pojęć związanych z pracą, których celem jest lepsze zrozumienie tematyki. W rozdziale drugim przedstawiona została funkcja Prezydenta RP jako najwyższego zwierzchnika sił zbrojnych w konstytucjach RP oraz organy pomocnicze działające na przestrzeni lat. Ostatni rozdział zawiera opis funkcji związany z pełnieniem zwierzchnictwa przez prezydenta w organizacji międzynarodowej. Ponadto zostało tam scharakteryzowane uprawnienie dotyczące mianowania na stopnie wojskowe oraz nadawania orderów i odznaczeń.

The aim of the work is to present the function of the President of the Republic of Poland as the highest superior of the armed forces based on the Polish Constitutions. Moreover, the study found issues related to the performance of this function, such as: subsidiary bodies operating at the President of the Republic of Poland during performing a function of the highest superior of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, the supremacy of the head of state over the army in relation to international organisations and the president's ability to award military ranks, as well as award orders and decorations. The first chapter concerns explaining the main concepts included in the essay, the purpose of which is to better understand the subject. Second chapter describes the function of the President of the Republic of Poland as the supreme head of the armed forces in the constituctions of the Republic of Poland and auxiliary bodies cooperating over the years. The last chapter includes the president's function of the highest superior of the armed forces in the international organisation. Moreover, there was characterized the right to appoint to military ranks and to award orders and decorations.
