The examination survey about skin aging of the women from Limanowa Country

Starzenie się skóry jest procesem uwarunkowanym genetycznie. Z biegiem czasu funkcje oraz mechanizmy zachodzące w skórze ulegają osłabieniu, prowadząc do zaburzeń w jej strukturze i wyglądzie.Cel: Celem pracy było zbadanie świadomości kobiet z powiatu limanowskiego na temat starzejącej się skóry. Materiały i metody: Badanie przeprowadzono metodą sondażu diagnostycznego, wykorzystując wywiad kwestionariuszowy, składający się z 25 pytań. Ankietę stworzono za pomocą portalu Survio i rozesłano do 100 kobiet, w wieku od 20 do 72 lat (mediana 43,5 lat), mieszkanek powiatu limanowskiego. Wyniki zebrano, a następnie dokonano analizy statystycznej. Wyniki: Według 73% kobiet pierwszymi oznakami starzenia się skóry są zmarszczki,
a 71% spadek jędrności. Na pytanie dotyczące czynników zewnętrznych wpływających na starzenie się skóry 95% osób wskazało nadmierną ekspozycję na promieniowanie UV, 86% palenie tytoniu, 78% nadużywanie alkoholu. 95% kobiet jest świadomych potrzeby ochrony przeciwsłonecznej. 65% badanych uważa, że pielęgnację przeciwstarzeniową należy rozpocząć między 25 a 30 rokiem życia. Wiedzę na temat wolnych rodników ma 55% ankietowanych. Wnioski: Badanie świadomości kobiet z powiatu limanowskiego na temat starzejącej się skóry wykazało, że ich wiedza jest duża. Ankietowane są świadome starzenia się skóry: pierwszych objawów, czynników wywołujących, wpływu promieniowania UV na skórę oraz ochrony przed czynnikami zewnętrznymi. Respondentki nie posiadają wiedzy o wolnych rodników oraz substancjach aktywnych zawartych w kosmetykach.

Skin aging is a genetically determined process. In the course of time, the functions and mechanisms that occur in the skin weaken, leading to disorders in its structure and appearance. Aim: The aim of the master's thesis was to examine the awareness of women of Limanowa County about skin aging. The materials and the methods: The study was carried out by the method of
a diagnostic survey, using questionnaire interview, consisting of 25 questions. The  survey was created using the Survio portal and was sent to 100 women, aged 20 to 72 years (median 43,5 years) inhabitants of Limanowa County. The results were collected and then statistical analysis was performed.The results: According to 73% women, the first signs of skin aging are wrinkles, 71% respondents marked a decrease in skin firmness. Analysing the answers concerning external factors affecting skin aging, 95% women indicated the excessive exposure to UV radiation, 86% respondents marked smoking, 78% interviewed women indicated alcohol abuse. 95% of the respondents are aware of the need for sun protection. 65% of respondents believe that anti-aging care should be started between 25 and 30 years. 55% interviewed have the knowledge of free radicals. The conclusion: The study of the women's awareness of Limanowa County of the skin aging subject showed that they knowledge is large. The interviewed women are aware of the skin aging: first signs, the triggers, the influence of UV radiation, the protection against external factors and anti-aging diet. The respondents do not have the knowledge of free radicals and active substances used in cosmetics.
