Mimo iż doba panowania ostatniego koronowanego Piasta została dokładnie przeanalizowana, do dziś nie powstało kompleksowe omówienie kancelarii Kazimierza Wielkiego. Praca dotyczy mandatu Kazimierza Wielkiego dla mieszczan wieluńskich z 1369 r., który stanowi przyczynek dyplomatyczny do dziejów kancelarii królewskiej. Prócz wspomnianego dokumentu, analizie zostały poddane 36 dokumenty wieczyste powstałe w kancelarii królewskiej w 1369 r. Ich zbadanie pozwoliło na ustalenie formularza obowiązującego w ostatnim pełnym roku życia monarchy oraz wysunięcie wniosków odnośnie zasad pracy kancelarii królewskiej w II połowie XIV w. Prócz uchwycenia pewnej powtarzalności formuł, analiza dokumentów pozwoliła poznać pracowników kancelarii w 1369 r. oraz najczęściej powtarzających się urzędników oraz duchownych jako świadków. Prócz analizy dokumentów, praca pozwala poznać główne kierunki polityki miejskiej Kazimierza Wielkiego oraz dzieje średniowiecznego Wielunia, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem okresu panowania monarchy.

Although the period of the regin of the last crowned Piast was thoroughly analyzed, a comprehensive report of the chancellery of Casimir the Great has not been established until today. The aim of these paper is to analyze the mandate of Casimir the Great for the citizens of Wieluń from 1369 which is a diplomatic contribution to the history of the royal chancellery. In addition to the aforementioned document, 36 perpetual documents originating in the royal chancellery in 1369 were subject to analysis. Their examination allowed to determine the form applicable in the last full year of the monarch's life and to submit conclusions regarding the principles of work of the royal chancellery in the second half of the 14th century. Apart from capturing a certain repeatability of formulas, the analysis of documents made it possible to get to know the office's employees in 1369 as well as the most frequent officials and clerics as witnesses.
