Omawiany obszar zamieszkiwały ludność polska, ukraińska i żydowska. W obrębie każdej z nich funkcjonowały liczne stronnictwa, reprezentujące rozmaite nurty ideowe. Wśród Polaków byli to narodowi demokraci, sanacja, partie chłopskie oraz socjaliści. Odrębne partie tworzyli ukraińscy narodowi demokraci i ruscy moskalofile. Podstawowymi źródłami wykorzystanymi w pracy są zasoby zgromadzone w Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie, Archiwum Państwowym w Przemyślu i pozyskane z obszernej kwerendy prasowej. |

The political life of the Sanok County in the interwar period was very diverse. The reasons for this were mainly due to the specificity of the national and social structure there. The area in question was inhabited by Polish, Ukrainian and Jewish people. Within each of them there were numerous factions representing various ideological currents. Among Poles, they were national democrats, sanation, people’s parties and socialists. Separate parties were formed by Ukrainian national democrats and Ruthenian moscophiles. Jews were divided into supporters of the Zionist, orthodox and socialist movements. In addition to the classification based on the national criterion, illegal communist parties were also on the margins of official political life. The paper discusses the activities of political parties, including assemblies, visits of parliamentarians, occasional events, expansion of the organizational network and other public actions. The topics raised during the meetings testify to the most important problems of contemporary political life and major program issues. Important elements of the dissertation are also information on the distribution of party structures in the county, their size, leading members and social base. The basic sources used in the work are the resources gathered in the Central Archive of Modern Records in Warsaw, the National Archive in Przemyśl and obtained from an extensive press query. |
