System for online student-teacher communication using Ruby on Rails

System został zaprojektowany z myślą o ułatwieniu komunikacji między studentami a prowadzącym zajęcia. Poprzez tę platformę cała zawartość kursu jak również jego bieżące ogłoszenia stają się dostępne dla studentów, podczas gdy prowadzący zyskuje niezbędne informacje zwrotne na temat prowadzonego przez siebie kursu. Aplikacja ta powstała przy użyciu technologii Ruby on Rails, która oparta jest o wzorzec projektowy Model-Widok-Kontroler. Niniejsza praca opisuje wyżej wymienioną architekturę ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem jego komponentów. W dalszej części znajduje się charakterystyka systemu online, która skupia się na udostępnianych przez niego funkcjonalnościach, zaprojektowanych elementach i ich asocjacjach jak również strukturze bazy danych. Na samym końcu pracy zaprezentowana jest dokumentacja techniczna i użyte biblioteki.

Designed system facilitates online communication between the students and the teacher. Through this platform the entire course content and its current announcements are accessible to the student whilst the teacher is provided with the relevant feedback. The online system is builded with Ruby on Rails technology that is based on Model-View-Controller design pattern. The present thesis is about the description of design pattern architecture, especially in accordance with above-mentioned Model-View-Controller. It is described along with three componenets (Model, View and Controller) that comprise its scaffold. Next, there is an online system characterisation which is focused on the whole functionalities set, designed elements, associations between them and the database structure. At the end, technical documentation and gems libraries are presented.
