Moja praca licencjacka poświęcona jest grą służącym do utrwalania słownictwa w nauce języka obcego w szkole podstawowej. Celem mojej pracy jest pokazanie konieczności wykorzystywania gier podczas nauki języków i ukazaniu ich zalet, podając przykłady takich gier.Na początku moich rozważań wgłębiłam się w terminologie „gry” i na tej podstawie sformułowałam własną definicję tego zagadnienia. Ponadto poruszony został główny problem tego rozdziału- czyli jakie korzyści osiągają dzieci podczas takiej formy aktywności na lekcji.W następnym rozdziale zestawione zostały dwa ważne pojęcia: „słownictwo” i „utrwalanie”. Wymienione zostały definicje, klasyfikacje słownictwa oraz fazy nauki słownictwa, w którym w główniej mierze zajmuję się procesem „utrwalania” oraz podaje cel utrwalania słownictwa. W tym rozdziale przedstawione zostały także badania pani Moniki Kolegarová.Na zakończenie podane zostały przykłady gier do utrwalania słownictwa, które osobiście uważam za ciekawe i warte wykorzystywania podczas lekcji w szkole podstawowej.

My bachelor thesis regards vocabulary practice of foreign languages by children in primary school, or in short: vocabulary consolidation. For children it is often a boring exercise, learning words one by one from a list by head. However, games can help children in consolidating vocabulary. First of all, it makes them remember words better. Second of all, it is a method that is also more interesting, challenging and fun for children. While not everyone agrees on whether games actually improve the process of consolidation, I want to show that games can indeed play a role in vocabulary consolidation and that it is and should remain relevant in school lectures.Some basics about the games I am talking about in this context will be presented in the first substantive part of my thesis. Doing so, I will first of all give definitions of a what a ‘‘game’’ exactly is, as well as what the goals are of these kind of games in general. When it comes to these aims, I highlight the fact that these games have more positive aspects compared to other ways of vocabulary consolidation, which are increased motivation, team spirit and vocal skills. In the following chapter, I will cover vocabulary consolidation. I will give a definition of the word vocabulary and of consolidation. After this, I will provide several classifications of vocabulary. In the next chapter, I will cover briefly how vocabulary knowledge is exactly stored in the brain. I will have a look as well at the different phases of how this storing usually takes place. In the subsequent chapter, I will present some interesting results from a survey which was held among children, showing children themselves prefer games for vocabulary consolidation. In the subsequent and last substantive chapter, I will look at a number of 14 games that could be used when it comes to vocabulary consolidation, some of which I linked to the earlier classifications of vocabulary I provided. At the end of my bachelor thesis, I will sum up what I covered in my thesis and come up with conclusions when it comes to how games could play a role in vocabulary consolidation for children at primary school. As stated already in the introduction, I agree with most scholars that games do indeed improve vocabulary consolidation. My short research in this bachelor thesis merely confirms this fact.

In meiner Bachelorarbeit bemühe ich mich nachzuweisen, warum Spiele eine außergewöhnlich wichtige Rolle im Fremdsprachunterricht spielen und als ein relevanter Teil der Unterrichtsstunden betrachtet werden sollten.Ein Schwerpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit liegt auf den Spielen zur Festigung des Wortschatzes, die in der Grundschule verwendet werden können. Ich habe die Entscheidung getroffen, dass ich mich nur mit der Grundschule befasse, da ich auf diesem Niveau Erfahrung habe, die ich dank des Praktikums in der Schule erwerben konnte.Meine Arbeit lässt sich in vier Teile gliedern. Zunächst beschäftige ich mich mit den Sprachdefinitionen und gebe meine eigene Definition von einem Spiel. Danach werde ich die Frage beantworten, welche die Ziele der Spielaktivitäten in der Grundschule sind.Im zweiten Teil meiner Arbeit befasse ich mich mit der Festigung des Wortschatzes. Ich gebe die Grundbegriffe an und ich versuche die Begriffe Festigung und Wortschatz zusammenzustellen. Ich nenne die Definitionen, die Klassifizierung des Wortschatzes, unterschiedliche Wortassoziationen, Phasen bei der Wortschatzarbeit, das Ziel des Wortschatzfestigung usw. Danach habe ich auch eine Umfrage präsentiert, die in einer Diplomarbeit unter dem Titel „Drei Phasen der Wortschatzvermittlung- Methodischer Vergleich“ von Monika Kolegarová durchgeführt wurde.Zum Schluss habe ich den Entschluss gefasst, Beispiele von Spielen zur Festigung des Wortschatzes im Fremdsprachunterricht zu geben. Selbstverständlich habe ich nicht die Möglichkeit alle Spiele zu besprechen, jedoch ich habe Spiele gewählt, die mir interessant in Bezug auf meine Forschungsfragen erscheinen.
