Jarocin as a symbol of countercultural rebellion of Polish youth 80s

Pierwszy rozdział poświęcony jest zagadnieniu kontrkultury, uwzględniając jej historię, formy oraz znaczenie dla rozwoju muzyki rockowej. Dla problematyki tej pracy niezbędne jest omówienie znaczenia wspomnianego ruchu społecznego, ponieważ celem rozważeń jest ukazanie oblicza polskiej kontrkultury lat 80-tych, której epicentrum był zdaniem autorki festiwal w Jarocinie. Rozdział drugi porusza problem buntu, który jest nieodłącznym elementem młodzieżowej kontestacji. Staram się udowodnić w nim, że bunt jest potrzebny dla pełnego rozwoju oraz kształtowania własnej tożsamości. Znajduje się tutaj także opis rozwoju polskiego rocka, który niewątpliwie był formą i wyrazem młodzieńczego buntu. W trzecim rozdziale skupiam się na charakterystyce młodzieży pod względem socjologicznym z uwzględnieniem kontekstu społecznego, gospodarczego oraz przełomowych wydarzeń historycznych w czasach PRL-u. Ostatni rozdział jest poświęcony historii Jarocina, biorąc pod uwagę znaczenie tegoż festiwalu dla poczucia wolności polskiej młodzieży w latach 80-tcych. Na podstawie interpretacji wypowiedzi organizatorów oraz uczestników próbuję zobrazować panującą tam atmosferę i udowodnić, że Jarocin był fenomenem na światową skalę oraz symbolem polskiej kontrkultury lat 80-tych.

The first chapter is devoted to the issue of counter-culture, taking into account the its history, forms and importance to the development of rock music. For problems of this work it is necessary to discuss the importance of that social movement, because the aim is to show the face of Polish counterculture '80s , whose epicenter in the opinion of the author was festival in Jarocin .The second chapter discusses the problem of rebellion , which is an integral part of youth contestation. I'm trying to prove that the rebellion is needed for full development and creating their own identity. There is also a description of the development of Polish rock , which was undoubtedly the form and expression of youthful rebellion. In the third chapter I focus on the characteristics of young people in terms of sociological, taking into account the social, economic and groundbreaking historical events in the days of communism. The last chapter is devoted to the history of Jarocin , given the importance of this festival for the sense of freedom Polish youth in the 80’s. Based on the interpretation of the statements of the organizers and participants I try to portray the atmosphere prevailing there and I prove that Jarocin was a phenomenon on a global scale and the symbol of Polish counterculture of the 80’s.
