Górski Karabach jest regionem położonym na Kaukazie Południowym, obejmującym południowo-wschodnią część łańcucha górskiego Małego Kaukazu. Górski Karabach jest przedmiotem długotrwałego sporu terytorialnego między Republiką Armenii a Republiką Azerbejdżanu.Celem niniejszej pracy była próba syntetycznego omówienia sporu ormiańsko-azerskiego o region karabachski, na które złożyło się opisanie historii obszaru, genezy i przebiegu konfliktu oraz analiza jego wielowymiarowych skutków wraz z przedstawieniem działań mających na celu pokojowe rozwiązanie sporu.

Nagorno-Karabakh is a region situated in the Southern Caucasus, covering the southeastern part of the Lesser Caucasus mountains. Nagorno-Karabakh is a subject of an ongoing, long-drawn territorial dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia.The aim of this thesis was to present a brief description of the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. The thesis presents history of the disputed area, describes the background, progress and consequences of the conflict and presents international reactions upon the dispute along with the efforts intended to provide a peaceful settlement to the conflict.
