Głównym celem pracy magisterskiej jest wyjaśnienie zagadnienia wzrostu innowacyjności inwestycji w infrastrukturze turystycznej w kontekście wykorzystania Funduszy Unii Europejskiej. W związku z tym konieczne było zdefiniowanie oraz uporządkowanie wiedzy na temat innowacji. W pracy przedstawione zostały także ogólne zasady działania Funduszy UE wraz z danymi o ich efektach pod koniec 2015 roku. Z uwagi na założony cel pracy, szczegółowo omówione zostały zagadnienia innowacji turystycznych w Małopolskim Regionalnym Programie Operacyjnym. Pozyskane informacje z Urzędu Marszałkowskiego pozwoliły dojść do wniosku iż Fundusze UE, przy jednoczesnym wykorzystaniu odpowiednich metod i narzędzi, przyczyniły się do znacznego wzrostu innowacyjności w infrastrukturze turystycznej.

The main purpose of master’s thesis is to clarify the question of expansion of innovative investment in touristic’s infrastructure in the context of utilization the European Union Funds. Thereupon it was necessarily to define and organize the knowledge about innovation. In the work were also enunciated general rules of working the UE Funds along with datas about its effects at the end of year 2015. In view of established purpose of the work, the questions about touristic innovations in Regional Operating Program in Lesser Poland were discussed extensively. Gathered informations from Marshals’s Office, allowed to come to a conclusion, that UE Funds with simultaneous utilization of congruous methods and tools, contributed to major expansion of innovation in touristic’s infrastructure.
