Overview: The Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW) is a disorder that affects the electrical conduction system of the heart. In the event of its occurrence, the fore-mentioned system contains an additional route of conduct connecting the atriums with the ventricles, which is used to transport the impulse that stimulates the work of consecutive contractile elements of the heart. The nature of the stimulation is pathological and it causes cardiac arrhythmia. The goal: The goal of the work was to depict the importance of the electrocardiography analysis in the process of diagnostics and evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment of the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome based on case analysis. The material and methodology applied: The form of the work is case study. The thorough review of the medical documentation and the careful conversation with the parents of the patient were the methods applied to achieve the set goal and the medical documentation and the results of the patient’s tests were applied as the tools. The outcome and conclusion: The case of a 7-year old boy, who was accidentally diagnosed with the WPW syndrome in the process of standard medical tests conducted by Sport and Medicine Clinic has been researched. The thorough analysis of the literature available and the above-mentioned case allowed me to shape the algorithm of the actions taken in the event of the diagnostics and treatment of the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. The work depicted the crucial meaning of electrocardiography in the process of diagnosing and curing the mentioned syndrome.
